As of January 2025, Marco Antonio Tena López will assume the position of Director of the Intellectual Property Area at Vega, Guerrero & Asociados.
Marco Antonio will lead the firm’s Intellectual Property practice, offering comprehensive advice on the management, protection and defense of intangible assets such as trademarks, patents, copyrights and appellations of origin. His strategic approach is designed to maximize the commercial value of clients’ intellectual property portfolios, ranging from registration to representation in administrative, constitutional and transnational litigation.

With solid experience in key sectors such as fintech, real estate and pharmaceuticals, Marco Antonio has excelled in areas such as:
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Participation in complex transactions and structuring of multi-million dollar financings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Advice on antitrust and corporate regulations.
- Strategic Defense: Representation before regulatory authorities, administrative courts and the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice.
In the litigation area, Marco Antonio has successfully managed the recovery of domain names before the WIPO and the defense of trademarks rejected by the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property.
International Contributions
Marco Antonio was a member of the FoCUS bilateral forum at Stanford University, where he presented strategic proposals for strengthening trade between Mexico and the United States, highlighting the importance of Geographical Indications as a tool for competitiveness.
