Marco Antonio Tena López leads the Intellectual Property practice at Vega Guerrero Asociados, offering comprehensive advice on the administration, protection and defense of intangible assets, including trademarks, patents, copyrights and appellations of origin. His strategic focus is oriented to maximize the commercial value of his clients' intellectual property portfolios, from registration to representation in administrative, constitutional and transnational litigation.
With an outstanding track record in key sectors such as fintech, real estate and pharmaceuticals, Marco Antonio has experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, regulatory compliance and antitrust.
He has participated in complex transactions and structuring of multi-million dollar financings, as well as in strategic defense before regulatory and judicial authorities. In addition, his practice includes representation in litigation to reverse trademark refusals before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, administrative and federal courts and the Supreme Court, as well as in the recovery of domain names through WIPO proceedings.
In the international arena, Marco Antonio was part of the FoCUS bilateral forum at Stanford University, where he presented strategic proposals to strengthen trade between Mexico and the United States through the development of Geographical Indications.
