Marco Antonio Tena López leads the Intellectual Property practice at Vega Guerrero Asociados, offering comprehensive advice on the administration, protection and defense of intangible assets, including trademarks, patents, copyrights and appellations of origin. His practice also focuses on Regulatory Compliance assistance to companies in the Fintech, Real Estate and Pharmaceutical industries.

His strategic focus is to assist foreign clients in navigating the Mexican regulatory landscape to maximize the commercial value of his clients' intellectual property portfolios.

Marco Antonio has experience supervising Fintech financial institutions at Banco de México, and has worked in international law firms in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance and antitrust.

He has participated in complex transactions and structuring of multi-million dollar financings, as well as in strategic defense before regulatory and judicial authorities.

His main specialization includes representation in administrative litigation before governmental regulatory authorities, administrative courts, federal courts and the Supreme Court, as well as in the recovery of domain names through WIPO proceedings.

At the international level, Marco Antonio was part of the FoCUS bilateral forum at Stanford University, where he presented strategic proposals to strengthen trade between Mexico and the United States through the development of Geographical Indications.
